The Rome Parade, and accompanying concert performances, which attract hundreds of thousands of people to the centre of the city, have become a hugely anticipated fixture in Italy’s calendar of leading events.

The week-long site visit means that educators can get a first-hand feel for all that their talented charges are about to experience from walking the route of the parade, visiting historic concert venues and  choosing their programme of educational visits.

The Parade on New Year’s Day follows one of the most iconic routes featuring as it does the Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corsa, Via Condotti, and Piazza Spagna.  More than 200,000 Romans and tourist come out to watch the amazing day/night Parade.

Organisers of the much-loved turn-of-year tradition, Destination Events, have breathed new life into free family spectacular and will fill the streets of the Eternal City with music, culture, colour and entertainment from across Italy and beyond.

And the news just gets better and better with the return of a full complement of orchestral and choral concerts in historic, iconic locations from some very talented students.
